Edge Mount ( End Launch )

The edge mount ( end launch ) connectors are use to transition microwave signals from coaxial to planar transmission line structures.   It is design to use in PC mount applications where circuit design on very thin high frequency board substrates. 
Edge mount ( end launches ) are similar to right angle PC mounts in that the connector interface is parallel to the surface of the PC board.  The in-line connector design minimizes reflections as compared to a right angle pc mount transition.  As the name implies, edge mounts ( end launches ) are attached to the end or edge of the PC board by soldering.
