Flange Mount

Recommended Mounting Hole Layouts

Flange mounted connectors are also attached to panels, but mounted by a different method from bulkhead connectors.   The flange is either bolted or riveted in place through holes in the flange surfaces which to keep the connector from rotating if the nut is not tightened properly.   Flange mounts are available in either 4-hole or 2-hole and different square ( such like 9.5SQ, 12.7 SQ, 25.4SQ ) or rhombus flange configurations.   In addition, flange mounts are available with solder cup attachment for low frequency usage or extended dielectrics, tab contact, slotted contact, blunt post contact, half round contact for high frequency usage.  Field replaceable flange mount connectors are also available for high performance and harsh environmental applications.   Like other uncabled connectors, jack interfaces are the most popular in flange mount styles.
