Is an RF cable the same as a coaxial?
When most people talk about RF cable they are usually thinking of coax, however there are other types or RF cable.
Typically 50 ohm and 75 ohm unbalanced cables are coax, but 300 ohm and 450 ohm twin feeder, balanced are not coax.
Coaxial cable also has other uses such as for audio signals . Audio does not bother too much about the impedance (ohms) but it is very important with RF. Coax is used for audio to reduce interference. Sometimes forms of balanced cable are also used in audio but tend to be round in cross section not flat.
