    INTRODUCTION

    The SMB Right Angle Plug Crimp Connector for RG178U cable is designed for optimal performance with RG178U and similar cables. Operating in a 50Ω impedance system, this connector provides seamless connectivity for frequencies ranging from 0 to 4 GHz.

    Designed for reliability and ease of use, featuring brass and beryllium copper construction ensuring durability and consistent electrical performance. PTFE insulation enables reliable connector operation across temperatures from -65°C to 165°C.

    For secure and robust connections, we recommend soldering the center contact to the cable inner conductor and crimping the ferrule onto the cable for efficient transmission and fixation. This connector ensures minimum cable retention of 6 lbs and minimum center contact retention of 4 lbs axial force.

    This SMB connector features VSWR of 1.22 max with maximum insertion loss of 0.2 dB, reducing signal loss and providing reliable and efficient signal transmission. The connector handles up to 220W power, suitable for various applications.

    The SMB Right Angle Plug Crimp Connector is robust and durable, with durability rating through 500 mating cycles. Compliant with stringent vibration standards (per MIL-STD-202 Method 204 Test Condition B) and salt spray resistance (per MIL-STD-202 Method 101 Test Condition B).
