    INTRODUCTION

    The SMP Straight Bulkhead Limited Detent Plug Solder Connector is designed for RG405/U (.085") cable applications, providing reliable connectivity solutions.

    The precision-machined ferrule is designed to solder onto the cable, enabling easy assembly by inserting and clamping the cable inner conductor through the connector center contact for secure transmission and fixation. This connector features .250 HEX mount point functionality for panels up to .138" thick.

    Operating at 50Ω impedance with a wide frequency range of 0-40 GHz, this connector ensures superior signal transmission. VSWR of 1.2 max at 26.5 GHz and 1.5 max at 40 GHz highlights its effectiveness in maintaining signal integrity.

    The connector body is manufactured from rugged brass with cobalt copper center contact, ensuring optimal electrical conductivity and reliability. PTFE insulation enhances connector durability and electrical characteristics.

    This SMP connector features 335V rms voltage rating at sea level and 500V rms dielectric withstanding voltage, with 5000 Megohms insulation resistance ensuring long-term reliability under various conditions.

    Maintaining low contact resistance—center contact resistance is 6.0 milliohms max, outer contact resistance is 2.0 milliohms max. This connector handles 220W power, suitable for applications with higher power requirements.

    Withstanding 500 mating cycles, the connector construction ensures excellent cable retention, with center retention requiring minimum 1.5 lbs axial force.

    Operating seamlessly across temperatures from -65°C to 165°C, suitable for various environmental conditions. Compliant with stringent quality standards including MIL-STD-202 Method 204 Test Condition D for vibration and MIL-STD-202 Method 101 Test Condition B for salt spray testing.
